Left to bled

You struggle inside to wage a war,
That never was yours to fight nor was it for anybody to get sour for.

You don’t learn it though, nor do you even try,
For it’s not easier to unlearn the imprint on heart even after numerous tries.

Tough is the day, tougher gets the night,
A face you want to erase, is the one that makes your heart beat just all right.

There’s no way for you to fall head over heel,
It’s not even been a period enough for you to understand how you feel.

What is it they say about those who wear their heart on sleeves?
That they get carried away too easily and find themselves in a web of grieves.

But what if I tell you that just the thought of being made her feel live?
That the abandoned self was reincarnated again of this silly naive.

Without any touches, without any caresses,
Just a smile reinvigorated her with a warmth lying dormant in for years.

It surely was unintentional, for he didn’t know what impact that smile had,
If only he knew she needed it that bad.

He was there, and she was there too,
With so much affection in heart, how could she dare to move away from that little boo?!

The smiles do not leave now, touches do not cease now,
He learnt it all one day and wondered why were they to be and how!

She, on the other hand, had gotten out of the red,
Among many crumbled pages in hand, she straightened one out and read…

I loved you the many nights and days,
I loved your many smiles from the far away bays,
I loved the easy silence that lay between the two,
I loved the calm of a stormy view.
And then it was all the same old dust as if abandoned to rust,
It had lost the innocence, it had lost the red,
I was back to page one,
With the heart in hand that was left to bled.
