Some days

Some days love feels simple, simple as gazing at plain water,
Other days there doesn’t come an emotion as intricate as love in sight.

Some days love feels insignificant, a burden,
Other days it seems indispensable, rather impossible, to live without.

Some days love gives the feels of entanglement,
Other days make that tangled feeling a necessity, a prerequisite to breathe.

Some days love asks for sacrifices, for rueful moods, for muffled cries,
Other days it repents for its ruthlessness by showering the passion that it is.

Some days love feels too jading, too much of a routine to follow,
other days it makes one realize how adventurous the monotony of love is.

Some days love scares you, punishes you, even wounds you,
Other days it comes with its doting touch and heals all the wrong.

Some days love brings the darkness of cold, black nights,
Other days it rises with the brightest of the days eradicating any persisting grayness.

There are some days when love can seem like killing you a slow death,
And then there are some when love can make your every breath exhilarate you.
