Tough times never last, but tough people do!

THEY hit really hard,
Those dominantly high fears,
Those cobwebs of unmerciful problems,
Those knots of life’s struggles,
Those gloomy sights of failure,
Don’t they?

We all give up too soon when life tricks us in its own cunning ways. Life’s artifices make us feel low of ourselves, that we are incapable unlike those strong people who have crossed huge hurdles in their life.

Which leads us to wonder like him. Doesn’t it?

“Who can even dare to challenge those
Formidable mountains,
Boastful forests,
Bottomless seas,
Pitch-dark morning skies”

Uttered he.

“Men are not afraid of things, but of how they view them.”

Placid curve appeared on her lips.
Obliged she said,

“Across those mighty mountains,
Through those thick forests,
Athwart those deep and gigantic seas,
Loftier than that outsized sky,
Beyond that dreadfully frightened YOU,
Lies
your priceless treasure trove.”

Wondered he,”What could it hold for me!”

“Something that no greenery, no reign, and no power can offer you”, whispered she, and left for her place.

Dumbfounded he, rambled out of the room too, only to decipher the masked answer, few years down the line.

“High esteem,
Astounding glory,
Upswept respect,
Lionhearted me
– was what she meant”. 🙂
