So let us start with our list –

•  If I share my smile and laughter with you, I am easy and faster to be preyed upon,
  IF I hesitate in passing a smile or two to you, I still will be your prey for I am a girl, but I might take quite longer than the sluttish extrovert one.
•  If I wear crop tops, skirts, shorts, or any other skin exposing attire, I am hinting you to catch me up,
  IF I wear full body covering clothes, I still will be hinting you for I am a girl, but with an intriguing mystery of what is hidden under that huge piece of cloth.
•  If I smoke, enjoy weed and drink with you, I am asking you to take me to your bed,
  IF I don’t, I still will be asking you for I am a girl, but by being sober and plain by mind.
•  If I stay out till late night, then I have an AVAILABLE board dangling around my neck,
  IF I get into my place before sun sets, I still am dangled around with that board for I am a girl, but with an indication of getting it done at my place.
•  If I share my secrets with you of my intimate relations with past boyfriends, I am directing you to get into my pants,
  IF I never had any boyfriend before, I still am directing you to get down on me for I am a girl, but with a clean chit in my hand or pant (whatever serves you better).
•  If I say YES, that means I agreed,
  BUT IF I say NO, I still agreed with my hidden consent behind that NO for I AM A GIRL YOUR SLAVE.

And the list can go on and on and on.

Situation worsens when it’s not only patriarchal society that points out a woman’s character in a difficult situation or in that case in any situation, but also other females who make her character a questionable affair.
It’s high time now, that we girls, stand up FOR each other, instead of standing AGAINST each other.

Shoojit Sircar’s PINK is hard-hitting. Unfortunately, unlike movie, not every Minal will get someone like Mr.Sehgal to rescue her from the trap of hypocrite patriarchal and non-patriarchal society’s norms on ‘How A GIRL should behave, talk, walk, dress and maybe even breathe’. 😦

When you are reminded of your brutal society with such degraded mind-set, then one should expect nothing else from me but to provide a personalized bible.
