Hey Stranger!

I strolled down a crowded road, crossed a number of hordes of tourists on the bridge and reached my destination-An empty bench at the corner of a park. Yes, I didn’t want to get lost in the mass or get distracted by the mass, as here I came to find myself, not losing back again to someone.
There I observed a girl, who was wandering on side-paths of the park from last 30 minutes.

“Hey! I’m Mona!” I introduced myself to her.
To my surprise, instead of baffling, “Hye! I’m Lisa” was the reply she gave.
“I hope I didn’t interrupt you.”
“No, you didn’t”, she said with an amusing smile.
No, I am not one of those desperate stalkers, neither am I desperate to make friends (actually I just have 2 friends even at the age of 26) nor am I any forlorn adult. I’m telling you this, in case you consider me any of the above. It came out of hunch.

“Can I talk to you for a while?” I asked her politely.
She nodded and from here we started.
We talked for almost two hours. Of these two hours, she might have spoken for thirty minutes. Rest one and half hours were mine, of my stories.

“Nice meeting you. Good night! (it was 8 at night)”, Lisa said and left with the same beautiful smile.

We hardly knew the basic details (profession, age, place one lives and like this it goes). But still I would say, that was one of the best conversations that I ever had in my life.

You might (you must actually, I know) ponder what was there in this story. I didn’t even tell you what these two Strangers shared. Well, that I didn’t tell you as that wasn’t worth your time, but what I realized after this unusual conversation is.

There are times when you just want an ear, not a mouth. But those who know you in and out, find it tough to just provide an ear.
“Why are you crying? Why are you being so rude? Why are you so blue? WhySSSSSS?????”
It becomes difficult to make them understand that it is ok to be rude or depressed or to sob or to possess any emotion at times. 😕
But it’s not ok to judge me or you or anybody for momentary emotions or actions.

Lisa didn’t judge Mona. She simply heard all the stories of Mona, without judging her for any of hers.

Sometimes a conversation with a stranger proves to be more remarkable than the ones we have with our acquaintances. Reason being, you are free of being judged. 🙂
